About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the websites, Life Leadership Hub, Life Leadership Briefing, resources, and related online services provided by Life Leadership Conference, a Virginia entity (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. An event or particular resource may have additional terms presented with it. Those terms govern that specific feature if they conflict with these general terms.
Eligibility and membership
You must be at least 18 years old to request or hold Hub membership. Provide accurate information, use your own identity, and keep your contact details current. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so.
Access to the Hub and private Briefing is subject to review and approval. Submitting a request, receiving an invitation, or creating a sign-in account does not by itself grant membership. Membership does not guarantee introductions, event seats, funding, grants, or any particular result.
Free membership
Hub membership and the Briefing are currently provided without membership or subscription fees. These terms do not authorize any recurring charge. If we offer a paid service in the future, its price and applicable terms will be presented separately before you agree to purchase it.
Your account and security
Keep your sign-in methods and account secure. Do not share your account or allow others to use it to bypass access review. You are responsible for your own use of the services and should notify us promptly at support@lifeleadership.org if you suspect unauthorized access.
Authentication and social sign-in features may be supplied by third parties. Their applicable terms also govern your use of those services.
Respectful and lawful use
Use the services lawfully, respectfully, and in a way that protects other participants. You must not:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your role, affiliation, or eligibility
- Harass, threaten, discriminate unlawfully, or share another person’s private information without permission
- Send spam, malware, deceptive messages, or unauthorized commercial solicitations
- Scrape member information, harvest contact details, or redistribute private directories or access-controlled material
- Bypass access controls, disrupt services, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Post or share material that violates another person’s rights or applicable law
Private spaces and confidentiality
Respect the private nature of the Hub. Do not redistribute another participant’s contact details, nonpublic remarks, screening information, or materials designated confidential without permission. Do not record private conversations or events without authorization.
We cannot guarantee that other participants will keep information confidential. Do not share privileged, regulated, or highly sensitive information through the services unless you have an appropriate arrangement and authorization. An approved membership does not create an attorney-client, medical, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.
Content and permissions
We and our licensors retain rights in our branding, website design, and original content. You may use resources for your own lawful work as permitted by these terms and any instructions supplied with a resource. Messaging and tools expressly offered for adaptation may be borrowed, adapted, and used in your own voice for your audience. That permission does not extend to third-party content or confidential material unless separately authorized.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a nonexclusive permission to store, display, and process it as reasonably needed to operate the features you choose, respond to your requests, and administer the services. Event contributions are subject to any recording or replay notice presented for that event. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to share your content.
Do not use our name or logo to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or a formal partnership without permission.
Events and third-party services
Events, video replays, live webcasts, sign-in, and communications may use services such as Zoom, YouTube, Clerk, and other providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to those services. Review recording notices before sharing your voice, image, or content.
Links, introductions, and third-party resources are provided for your consideration. They do not guarantee another party’s conduct or imply endorsement of every view expressed. Use your own judgment before relying on information or entering a relationship with another participant or provider.
Information and professional judgment
Resources and discussions are provided for general information and collaboration, not individualized legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Research may be provisional, and information can change or contain errors. Consult qualified professionals when appropriate and evaluate how material applies to your circumstances.
We do not promise particular organizational, cultural, financial, legal, or life-saving outcomes from using the services.
Availability and ending access
We may change, pause, or discontinue features and may suspend or end access for misuse, security concerns, ineligibility, or violations of these terms. We will provide notice where reasonably practical or required by law, but urgent safety or security issues may require immediate action.
You may stop using the services at any time, unsubscribe from the Briefing through an email unsubscribe link, or request account closure by contacting us. Provisions that reasonably need to continue, including confidentiality, content permissions for existing authorized uses, and legal limitations, survive closure.
Disclaimers and limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Life Leadership Conference is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits a remedy where doing so is unlawful, including any rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
Applicable law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable United States federal law, without displacing mandatory protections that apply where you live. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Virginia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update these terms by posting a revised version and date here, with additional notice or consent where required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
